Ongoing Ministry Opportunities:

1. Mobile Food Pantry – to be held Friday, July 30 from 10:00 AM to Noon at Lydia Presbyterian – folks can come out to help with the distribution by either handling the boxes as they come off the truck or by helping folks to fill out the registration forms and asking them how we might pray for them, or by filling out forms for folks in their neighborhood, (Laurens County residents only) who might need to have one of the food boxes and getting it to me before that Friday, so we can set the boxes aside and later deliver them. We are hoping to have regular deliveries from  the Harvest Hope folks and provide more assistance in the future.  Contact: Ann Felten – 864-547-0025
2. International Student Inc. Program – this would involve families or singles offering friendship to an international student who will be studying at PC this  year.  It can be as simple or as involved as you are comfortable with, occasional meal or activity, or helping them as conversation partners, or helping them find some resource they need, or any number of things that would make an international student feel welcome and help them to adjust to and learn about our culture.  Contact: Ann Felten – 864-547-0025
3.  Chocolate sales for Cluster funding of mission trips -  At the present we have some of the chocolate bars to sell, but we can order more, particularly around Christmas for folks to use as gifts.  The bars are $4.00 each and the small ones are $.25 or 10 for $2.00.  In addition to the chocolate there is coffee, cocoa, baking cocoa, nuts and fruit snacks.  All are organic and freely traded, which means the farmers who produce the cocoa get a fair price for their product. Some of the cocoa beans come from small farmers in the Dominican Republic.  The Presbyterian Coffee Project uses this agency to obtain their coffee.  All funds raised go back into the cluster funds to help folks go on mission trips, etc. Or a cluster church could use these to raise funds for their own project; I would be happy to share my contact information with anyone from the cluster churches.   Contact: Ann Felten 864-547-0025
